Best Open-Source Tools for Polymarket Traders (Funding, Withdrawals, 7702 Safety, Price Sanity)
Every tool on this page is free, open-source (MIT), read-only — no wallet connection, no API keys, no sign-in — and built by the research contributors behind BrainResearchHub. Each exists because a specific expensive mistake kept repeating: funding drag eating correct theses, withdrawal plans built on mark-to-market numbers, phished 7702 delegations sweeping deposits, and right-direction trades destroyed by broken quotes.
The four tools at a glance
| Tool | Question it answers | Repo | Full guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| funding-forecaster | “What will funding cost me at my leverage?” | polymarktexpert/funding-forecaster | funding cost guide |
| withdrawal-floor | “How much can I actually withdraw today?” | tradingbotsbuilder/withdrawal-floor | withdrawable amount guide |
| eip7702-check | “Is my wallet delegated to an attacker?” | sreyleak-security/eip7702-check | 7702 check guide |
| sanity-checker | “Is this price safe to trade against?” | cyrusthornemchn/sanity-checker | sanity checklist guide |
1. funding-forecaster — the pre-entry funding bill
Computes the premium (perp price vs underlying probability), converts it to an hourly drag at your leverage, and projects the total cost over your holding period — before you open the position. Standard library only; one dependency-free command.
python3 funding_forecaster.py --market <slug> --side long --leverage 5 --hours 24 --margin 500
Run it before entry — see the full arithmetic and worked examples in the funding cost guide, and how the 4%/hour cap works in funding rate mechanics.
2. withdrawal-floor — the honest cash-out number
Reads your public positions and prints the four numbers that matter: locked value in open positions, redeemable wins, the ~10% floor, and the actual withdrawable amount. Same formulas as the interactive HuggingFace calculator, packaged for the terminal.
python3 withdrawal_floor.py --address 0xYourWallet
Run it before sizing any withdrawal and after resolution waves — the full subtraction chain is in the withdrawable amount guide.
3. eip7702-check — the two-minute delegation audit
Sends one read-only eth_getCode call and tells you whether your wallet
carries an EIP-7702 delegation — the mechanism behind the October 2026
sweeper wave ($1.54M to a single drainer contract). Exit codes make it
cron-able for cold-wallet monitoring; any chain via --rpc.
python3 eip7702_check.py --address 0xYourAddress
# any chain:
python3 eip7702_check.py --address 0xYourAddress --rpc https://polygon-rpc.com
Run it after touching any wallet-connect site, and monthly on cold storage — the revoke procedure is in the 7702 check guide.
4. sanity-checker — the pre-trade execution gate
Six mechanical checks — depth, spread, freshness, cross-source consistency, commission, fill cost — in one command, with a verdict and exit code you can gate a bot on. It checks the market’s health, not the truth of your thesis (resolution risk is on you).
python3 sanity_check.py --market <slug> --size 200
Run it before any size, always — the full routine is in the sanity checklist guide.
Why CLI and not a web dashboard?
Three reasons, in order of honesty: (1) nothing to phish — a CLI asking for zero approvals can’t be spoofed into taking them; (2) no address leakage — web dashboards see your IP alongside your wallet; (3) scriptable — cron, pre-trade gates, and monitoring need exit codes, not buttons. For the two cases where a browser is genuinely more convenient (the 7702 spot-check and the withdrawal math), we also host the browser checker and the HF calculator linked above — both read-only.
FAQ
Q: What are the best free tools for Polymarket perps traders? A: For cost control: funding-forecaster (funding drag projection) and withdrawal-floor (true withdrawable amount). For safety: eip7702-check (delegation audit) and sanity-checker (pre-trade execution gate). All four are MIT-licensed, read-only CLIs from the BrainResearchHub group.
Q: Are these tools safe — do they need my seed phrase? A: No tool on this page ever touches your keys. They send read-only API/RPC requests with no signing capability. Any “checker” asking for a seed phrase is a scam — see fake recovery services.
Q: Do I need an API key or account to use them? A: No. Standard library only, public endpoints only, no registration.
Q: Where do I report a bug or request a market? A: Open an issue on the respective GitHub repo — each is maintained by its author (see the table above).
